At Your Dressmaker, we offer handmade medieval and Renaissance clothing made from a variety of high quality materials. Our crushed velvet is a luxurious, shiny fabric with slight elasticity. It is often used in clothing suited for medieval or Renaissance nobility or royalty. Here you can order a swatch of our crushed velvet to make sure the fabric is exactly what you want for your next handcrafted historical garment. Our crushed velvet is gently machine washable using a half load with a short spin. Gentle washing detergent should be used, and the maximum water temperature is 85°F/30°C. The fabric should then be set flat to dry. We offer crushed velvet in a variety of luxurious colors, so order a swatch to better see what color will best suit your look.
